Ollie B. Davis

Ollie Brumley Davis, 92, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2007.

Mrs. Davis was born on April 15, 1915, in Hodges, Alabama. Her husband, Spurgeon L. Davis, parents, Prentice J. Brumley and Mattie C. Brumley, and brother, Chester Brumley preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Young (Roger) Warner Robins; grandchildren, Michael Young (Tracy), Richmond, VA; Michelle Young, Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Lacey Saxton and Dylan Young; sisters, Lorena Avery, AL; Hazel Cantrell, GA, Atha Mae Stovall, AZ; brother, Dolan Brumley, AL; several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Ethel Brumley, Tommie Davis, Lavolia Redd (Harvey) and Myrtle West.

Services will be Friday, July 6, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Winfield, AL, preceded by visitation in the church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery following the services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimers’ Association, 277 Martin Luther King Blvd, Suite 201, Macon, GA 31201-3948.
