Othar "Chet" Adkins

Chet Adkins, 75, entered into rest on Thursday, November 20, 2008.

Mr. Adkins was born on July 10, 1933 in Logan, West Virginia. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force, including the Korean Conflict. He was most passionate about Truck Driving, which was his profession for fifty years. His wife, Betty Jane Adkins, parents, Noah and Vadie Adkins, and four brothers, Ezra Adkins, Raymond Adkins, Bobby Adkins, and Dalas Adkins, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his son, Steve Adkins (DeAundra) , Macon; daughter, Grace Wright, California; brother, Roy Adkins, Ravenswood, West Virginia; sisters, Merrial Moore, Beulah Harris, and Jewelene Wooten, all of Logan County, West Virginia; and eight grand children, Steven Adkins, Jr., Kristin Huff, Joseph Martinez, Daniel Martinez, James Martinez, Thomas Martinez, Jonathan Giesy, and Linda Baldwin.
