Owen Bruce, 86, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015.
Owen was born on January 23, 1929, in White Oak, Georgia. After graduating from high school he continued his education at Georgia Teacher's College. Owen then taught shop at Warner Robins High School from 1952 until 1956, before changing career paths to work as a statistician at Robins Air Force Base, where he retired after 33 years. Owen was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Asbury Sunday School Class. In his spare time; he loved hunting, fishing, studying genealogy, and above all else spending time with his family that adored him.
His parents, John and Lettie Bruce; 2 sisters; and one brother, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 43 years, Judith Bruce of Warner Robins; children, Alan Bruce of Ocala, Florida; Luann Causey (Eddie), Russ Bruce (Pam), Dana Lynn Bruce, Carolyn Elaine Bruce, all of Warner Robins; five grandchildren; as well as siblings, Perry Bruce of Tennessee and Addie Ruth Barton of South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation with Owen's family and friends will be Tuesday, November 24, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. After the service, Mr. Bruce will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
