Patricia Chapman Estes, 69, of Fort Valley, entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1955, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Hubert and Hilda Long Chapman.
After graduating high school, Patricia continued her education and earned an associate’s degree. She dedicated her professional life to public service, working with the Houston County Tax Assessors Office as a Tax Assessor until her well-deserved retirement.
Above all, Patricia’s greatest joy in life was her family. A devoted mother and grandmother, she selflessly loved and cared for her children and grandchildren. Family gatherings were some of her happiest moments, especially when she prepared her famous macaroni and cheese, a dish loved by all.
Patricia also had a passion for the simple joys of life. She loved visiting the beach, where she found peace and happiness, and she expressed her creativity through decorating, making every space feel warm and welcoming.
She had a deep love for the Lord and shared her gift of music as the pianist for her church for many years, finding great joy in worship through song.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, her devotion to family, and the love she poured into everything she did.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Michael Estes, and brother, H. Ronald Chapman.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Laura Amberly Lower (Michael Lower), Stephanie Estes Morgan (Michael Morgan), and Katie Estes Jump (Dusty Jump); grandchildren, Ashlen Skylah Ross (Montavius Ross), Trystan Ava Lower, Evan Tate Adams, Garrett Michael Adams, Kendall Reese Jump, Kennedy Harper Jump, and Konnor Nash Jump; brother, Mickey Chapman; nephews, Kevin Chapman (Ami) and Ronny Chapman (Liza); sister-in-law, Alma C. Chapman; and spouse of 32 years, Johnny Estes.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with a service immediately following in the chapel. Afterward, Patricia will be laid to rest in Little Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
