Patricia Herrin-Pugh

Patricia Herrin-Pugh, 83, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Patricia was born on December 19, 1939, in Cortland, New York to the late Calvin and Dorothy Riggs.  She was a graduate of Cortland High School in New York prior to entering the United States Air Force in 1959. She was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina, where she met her first husband, James Herrin, and had two children. Following James’ passing, she met and married Walter Pugh, whom she was married to for 17 years. Patricia loved being outdoors, playing softball and volleyball, walking, gardening, traveling, sewing, and baking. She was known for her holiday cookies, her wit, and her humor. Along with the love she showed her family and friends, she always had fur-children to spoil, leaving behind her final fur friend, Monte, who misses her greatly.  

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband, James Herrin, her second husband, Walter Pugh, and her sisters, Judy Jacque and Dot Lang.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Scott Herrin (Vicki), and Shari Bergman (Jeff); grandchildren, Zack Prager, Amanda Fagan, and Brandon Herrin; great-grandchildren, Norah and Oliver; and siblings, Eleanor Dutcher of Cortland, NY and Charles Riggs of Homer, NY.
