Patricia G. Patterson

Patricia Green “Pat” Patterson, 64, of Byron, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, June 29, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Vienna, Georgia on July 11, 1961 to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Jefferson Green, Pat was a graduate of Crawford County High School. She met the love of her life Cecil A. “Sonny” Patterson, Jr. soon after graduation in 1980. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother known as “Honey” by her grandbabies. Patricia found great joy in spreading the love of Christ to all. A true giver, she spent much of her time in the kitchen preparing food for anyone who was hungry—whether it be her grandbabies, homeless veterans, or a friend just stopping by to say hello. She found great joy in sharing her talents in the kitchen. She was a member of the congregation at Parkway Assembly of God and the Life-changers Sunday School Class which was a dedicated group for serving others. She enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables, antiquing, and making homecooked meals, and she never missed out on a chance to pray for others.

Pat was a dedicated bus driver for the Peach County School System for 32 years. She loved her students dearly and made their safety and security her top priority. She had a positive impact on the lives of students of all ages. She would not miss a day to do her routes unless it was absolutely necessary, oftentimes stepping in for others if she was called upon.

Above all, Pat loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and her friends. Pat was a servant leader and model example for her family to follow.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 44 years, Cecil A. “Sonny” Patterson, Jr.; her children, Jill Patterson Gray (Christopher), Joshua Samuel Patterson (Allison), Jennifer Patterson Chambless (Eric), and Jeffrey A. Patterson (Marleena); her grandchildren, Greyson (Gabrielle), Bayleigh (Brandt), Dillon, Andrew, Zachary, and Wesley; her great-grandchildren, Pryce and Max; her beloved sister and best friend, Trina Williams (Sean); nephew, Chase (Madison); and numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Randy Joseph Green.

The family will greet friends for fellowship at McCullough Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will take place at Parkway Assembly of God, 5191 Eisenhower Parkway in Macon, on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Byron City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Patricia Patterson to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204.
