Patricia (Pat) Prince, 93, returned home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on June 25, 1932, Pat was the daughter of the late Lucien B. and Iona Goree Williams. Pat was an educator, who was a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, Mercer University and the University of Georgia. She worked many years for the Houston County Board of Education, teaching at Miller Elementary, Elberta Elementary, and Rumble Middle School. She spent the last decade of her teaching career as a reading specialist and driving the “reading bus” to various schools in Houston County for her reading classes.
Beyond the classroom, Pat enriched her community through both creativity and fellowship. She was an accomplished artist, best known for her delicate and skillful porcelain painting. Her passion for the art form led her to membership in the World Organization of China Painters (WOCP), where she shared her work with fellow artists. Pat was an avid and skillful bridge player, at one time playing in five bridge clubs. She loved to garden and served as a former president of the Greenbriar Garden Club. She was an active member of the Newcomers Club, and a devoted member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Pat will be remembered most for her resiliency and sense of humor. Widowed at the age of 42 by the death of her first husband, Larry Neil Justice, Pat raised her three sons as a single parent with a strong work ethic and the ability to laugh at nearly any situation. Pat’s family and friends all say that she brought joy, love and a keen sense of humor to almost every personal encounter. They especially loved and appreciated her laughter.
In addition to her parents and her first husband, Pat was preceded in death by her second husband, Clarence B. “C.B.” Prince, Jr., as well as her siblings, Dr. Richard G. Williams of Tulsa, Oklahoma and James B. Williams of Midland, Texas.
Her memory will be forever treasured by her children, Gary Justice (Martha) of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, Mark Justice (Alisa) of Kennesaw, Georgia and Paul Justice (Molly) of Athens, Georgia. She adored her five grandchildren, Sarah Justice Nekili (Bruno) of Geneva, Switzerland, Anna Justice Elliott (John) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Neil, Zach, and Kenzie Justice of Kennesaw, Georgia. She was also thrilled to have three great grandchildren, Ben, Charlotte and Ruth.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, in the Magnolia Park Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.
