Paul Hammontree, 57, entered into rest on Thursday, February 4, 2016.
Rooster was born on December 11, 1958 in Rantoul, Illinois. At an early age Rooster moved to Middle Georgia with his family, attended Perry High School, and was a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. He had a love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and automobiles of all kinds. Rooster always enjoyed working on anything with an engine and made his career one he loved. He owned and operated R & M Auto Repair and Lawn Mower Shop in Perry. As much as he enjoyed motorcycles and automobiles, his greatest joy came from his family and friends.
His father, Paul Bismark Hammontree, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Susan Gifford (Lee) of Macon; Brandon Hammontree (Lisa) of Warner Robins; six grandchildren; mother, Doris Hammontree of Carrolton; siblings; Sheila Johnson of Merritt Island, Florida; Patricia Davis of Carrolton; Curtis Hammontree of Bonaire; several nieces and nephews; and a close personal friend, Debbie Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Paul Randall "Rooster" Hammontree to the Methodist Home for Children 304 Pierce Ave, Macon, Ga 31204.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2016 in the Chapel of McCullough, Pastor Fred McCoy and Pastor Mike Slade will officiate.
