After a life of service to others, Peggy Joyce Brack of Bonaire, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the age of 85. At that moment she went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Brack was born in Dublin, GA on June 14, 1938, to the late Roy and Leila Smith. She married the late Elbert Wayne Brack on August 17, 1958, and they loved and labored to build a loving home together. Mrs. Brack loved the Lord and loved her family. She loved children and served as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, kindergarten aide, lunchroom helper, and friend to all the neighborhood children.
Mrs. Brack loved to work in the garden, cook, bake, study the Bible, and listen to her favorite preachers. She adored her grandchildren and through the years spent time with them riding bikes, playing games, and making elegant dirt cakes.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brack was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Royce Brack and sisters, Betty Jean Minter, Claire Wilkes, and Clara Currie.
Left behind to celebrate her memory are her sons, Ronald Wayne Brack of Milledgeville and Wesley Earl Brack of Bonaire; her daughter, Joy Brack Poole (Tommy) of LaGrange; and her grandchildren, Ashley Peeler (JR) of Dallas, GA and Justin Poole (Monica) of Cumming, GA.
A visitation with Mrs. Brack’s family will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home followed immediately by the funeral service celebrating her life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Mrs. Brack will be laid to rest at Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Allentown, GA.
The family will accept flowers or donations be made in memory of Mrs. Brack to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. The family is extremely grateful to all those who served and prayed for Mrs. Brack during her illness.
