Petra Horne

Petra Horne, 68, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 10, 2026.

Petra was born in Darmstadt, Germany, to the late Werner and Helga Eckert. She carried her roots with pride and built a life centered on love, family, and generosity.

Petra had a deep love for cooking and gardening, finding joy in caring for others and nurturing everything around her. She especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Intelligent and thoughtful, Petra was known for her wisdom and the meaningful advice she freely shared. She was always there for everyone, offering support, guidance, and a listening ear whenever it was needed.

Christmas was Petra’s favorite holiday. She took great care to make sure everyone felt remembered and included, creating lasting memories filled with warmth, tradition, and love.

Petra will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her kindness, strength, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Vera Konhauser.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband, Terry Horne; children, Deborah Kitchens (Montrell), Dwayne Baker, Jr. (Angie) and Patric Muller; grandchildren, Shawn Thompson, Andre Thompson, Dequan Foster and Taliah Foster; great grandchildren, Isaiah, Julian and Azarah; and siblings, Coy Eckert, Silvia Genova and Nared

Visitation with Petra’s family will be Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with the memorial service celebrating her life following in the chapel. At the family’s request, burial will be private.
