Phyllis Eugenia Alley passed away on the morning of Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Summerhill Senior Community. She was 82 years old.
Born on March 22, 1943, in Parma, Missouri, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Virgil J. Brown, Sr. and Velta Alice Johnson. She spent her early years in Parma and later in San Antonio, Texas, where she attended high school. A hard worker, Phyllis began her career as a Medical Transcriptionist. In 1973, she moved with her family to Warner Robins, Georgia, where she went on to work at Robins Air Force Base until she medically retired in 1983.
A faithful and active member of Bonaire First Baptist Church, Phyllis found great joy in serving the Lord through music and teaching. She was a devoted choir member and loved leading Sunday School. Creative and kind-hearted, she enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, and creating special memories especially with her grandchildren. From movie nights to craft projects, she made every visit packed full of love.
Phyllis was a quiet and gracious woman, lovingly nicknamed “Miss Manners” by her son. She was deeply devoted to her family and was especially proud of her son and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Watkins.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Robert Alley (Tiffany) of Perry, Georgia; grandchildren, Kylie Blackwell (Thomas), Abigail Alley, and Easton Alley; as well as her brother, Virgil Junior Brown (Stephani); and several extended family members and friends.
