Ralph Rollen Hays, 64, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Ralph was born on June 13, 1959, in Fredonia, Kansas to the late Charles and Helen Hays. He moved to Warner Robins in 1969 and graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1977. After high school, he joined the United States Army and honorably served for four years. In his professional life, Ralph worked primarily in construction as a brick mason. He later moved to Fitzgerald where he worked in a peanut plant. Ralph was very talented at woodworking, which he enjoyed very much. Family was very important to Ralph; because he was good with his hands, he would give a variety of things he created to his beloved friends and family, while also selling a few on the side. To earn a little extra money, he used his brick mason skills to build mailboxes on the weekends. Ralph was a very talented artist, working with a variety of mediums from pencils to metalwork. His talents and hobbies also extended to his joy of working on cars. He was a quiet, affable, and reliable person who mostly kept to himself, but enjoyed being around people, particularly his family. He will be deeply missed by those he loved.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his brother, Marty Hays.
His memory will forever be treasured by his siblings, Cliff Hays (Margo) of Warner Robins, Charles S. Hays, Jr. of Macon, and Anna M. Wynne (Kelly) of Hawkinsville, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Magnolia Park Cemetery, where Ralph will be laid to rest.
