Randy Lee Howell, 75, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Randy was born on December 3, 1950, to the late Raymond and Lorene Howell in Albany, Georgia. He would go on to enlist in the U.S. Air Force, with whom he served his country as an A-10 pilot. Randy retired as a Colonel after thirty years of distinguished, dutiful service. He went on to work as Project Manager at Robins Air Force Base for fifteen years.
Randy was known for his adventurous spirit. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, snow skiing, and scuba diving. He always managed to find something exciting wherever he went.
Above all, Randy loved his family. He and his beloved wife of fifty-one years, Laura, worked together to raise their two children, and later found great joy in spoiling their grandson. The many years of laughter, love, and quality time with Randy serve as a lasting comfort for those he leaves behind.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Laura Lee Howell; his children, Lindsay Lee Lopez (Mike) and Ryan Lee Howell; his grandson, Dante Lee Lopez; his sisters, Rebecca Howell Ozzie (Jack) and Rhonda Howell Spurlin (Lonnie); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 29, 2026, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given to the charity of your choice in honor of Randy.
