Warner Robins

A beloved hometown resident, Randy Lee Tarpley, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Houston Medical Center. He was 67 years old.

Born and raised in Warner Robins, Randy was a proud graduate of Warner Robins High School, Class of 1974. He furthered his education at Middle Georgia Technical Institute, specializing in electronics.

Randy dedicated much of his working life to Frito Lay, contributing his skills to production maintenance; his commitment to service extended beyond, as he also devoted a brief period to medical transportation.

Randy was passionate about cars and football. He loved fixing up vehicles and had an unwavering devotion to football, especially to the Warner Robins DEMONS and the UGA Dawgs.

However, Randy's greatest source of joy was his family. A loving father and doting grandfather, he embraced his role as "Paw Paw" with open arms. His family meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment spent together, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to share in his love.

Randy was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Card Tarpley; parents, Jack, and Louise Hall Tarpley; and brother, Wendell Tarpley.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Ryan Tarpley (Amanda) of Perry; Robert Tarpley of Warner Robins; and Jake Tarpley of Rex, Georgia; grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, and Ellie Tarpley; siblings, Robin Gail Tarpley, and Ronnie Tarpley (Jodi); and niece, Sydney Tarpley.

At the family’s request, all services held will be private.  Randy will be privately laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Randy Tarpley to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
