Raul Ramon Pita

Raul Ramon Pita, 66, entered into rest on Friday, May 7, 2010.

Mr. Pita was born on July 16, 1943, in Santa Clara, Cuba. He was a retired manager from Peachtree Golf Club and a member of Byron Baptist Church. His parents, Raul Pita and Odilia Pita, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty-four years, Maria Carmen Pita; children, George James Pita, Virginia, and Carmen Frances Balkcom, Fort Valley; grandchildren, Natalie Marie Pita, Matthew James Pita and Gregory Alexander Balkcom; and siblings, Raquel Derrenberger, Miami, Florida, and Jorge Pita, Spain.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens in Snellville, Reverend Richard Aultman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105 or VistaCare Hospice, 319 Margie Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088.
