Warner Robins – Ray Cowan, 63, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2005 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, at McCullough Funeral Home with inurnment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, 1001 Carl Vinson Parkway, Centerville, Georgia 31028.
Mr. Cowan was born April 24, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Clyde Cowan and Myrtice Jenkins Rogers. A member of AA for the last 23 years, Mr. Cowan was a retired Horse Jockey and was currently self-employed as a Painting Contractor. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved the Lord and helping others. In addition to his parents, brother, Smitty Cowan, preceded him in death.
Survivors include, children, Sammy Ray Cowan, Warner Robins; Stacy Cowan; Candice Lynn Yarghn, Trenton, Florida; and Carl Lee Cowan, Bell, Florida; siblings, Larry Cowan, Ocala, Florida; Shirley Austin, Byron; and Anthony Cowan, Byron; and seven grandchildren.
