On the morning of Saturday, January 17, 2026, our beloved father and grandfather, Raymond “Butch” Zirkle, went to be with the Lord. He was 77 years old.
Butch was born on December 2, 1948, in Pomeroy, Ohio, to the late Paul Henry and Norma Louise (Lippi) Zirkle. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years and went on to dedicate nearly four decades as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base before retiring. A lover of the outdoors, Butch enjoyed hiking and jogging, and he was a longtime, faithful member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sally Zirkle, and his second wife, Carolyn Zirkle.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving children, Beverly Hunt (Chan) of Cumming and Andrew Zirkle (Monica) of Bonaire; and his cherished grandchildren, Elisabeth, Hudson, Tyler, Liza, Jacob and Alex.
At the family's request, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Butch Zirkle to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088,
