Raymond George Winks

Raymond George Winks, 81, entered into rest on Friday, July 27, 2012.

Mr. Winks was born on November 13, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With pride and honor he served his country as an Aviation Machinist Mate 1st Class in the United States Navy from which he retired after twenty years of dedicated service. Ray was a member of VFW Post 6605. He enjoyed playing Pinochle and spending time with family and friends. His beloved wife, Phyllis Pannozzi Winks, and his parents, Raymond R. Winks and Helen Vowinckel Winks, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Sharon Ann Travis, North Providence, Rhode Island; granddaughter, Melissa Ann Travis, Pearland, Texas; sister, Rebecca Buchleitner, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; brother, William Winks, Perry, Georgia; and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery located in Exeter, Rhode Island.
