Rebecca Darlene Livingston, also lovingly known as “Mrs. Wonderful” entered into rest at the age of 73, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Born on February 28, 1953, in Albany, Georgia, Rebecca was the daughter of the late Chester I. and Dorothy Lee Smith. She was a proud Northside High School graduate, Class of 1971. After high school, Rebecca was a stay at home mother, then worked in a medical office as an administrator, before later working as a retail merchandiser for several years.
A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Rebecca cherished her family deeply. She also found great joy in decorating, shopping, and tending to her garden.
Rebecca had a strong faith and loved going to church. She loved Jesus and lived her life with kindness and compassion. Known for her sweet personality, she never met a stranger and was always thoughtful toward others. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and brought laughter to those around her. Rebecca held a special place in her heart for the beach and was a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs!
Rebecca’s favorite phrase was as Coco Chanel once said, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must be different.” Rebecca embraced this sentiment fully, and it showed in every aspect of her life. She will be remembered as a truly remarkable person whose individuality left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, David F. Livingston.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Connie Denison (James) of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and Jerry Livingston (Nikki) of Warner Robins. Georgia; grandchildren, Julia Denison, Aaron Denison, and Amelia Denison, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and River Livingston, Alayna Livingston of Elko, Georgia, Jackson Gardner and Michaela Calvert of Warner Robins, Georgia; as well as two grand dogs and grand cats.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Lighthouse Baptist Church. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. Afterward, Rebecca Darlene Livingston will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
