Rebecca Arlene Spradlin, 76, entered into rest on Sunday, July 28, 2024.
Rebecca was born on August 22, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Robert and Cora Mosley. As the beloved matriarch of her family, Rebecca cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, always extending her generous heart, especially towards the kids. Rebecca was a woman of many passions. She delighted in a variety of activities, from shopping, to cooking her famous dressing, and hosting gatherings. Known for her feisty and headstrong nature, she loved inviting folks over and entertaining with her unique charm. Her fondness for visiting Cracker Barrel and Publix, as well as her morning ritual of enjoying a Coca-Cola that was brought to her by her beloved husband, were simple pleasures that brought her joy. Family was of the upmost importance to Rebecca, and her unwavering love for them was evident in everything she did. However, her bond with her dog, Tiny, also held a special place in her heart. She will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her siblings Dorothy Miller and Eddie Mosley.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 61 years, Bobby Gene Spradlin of Byron; children, Cindy Higgins of Byron, Vicki DePuy (George) of Musella, and Scottie Spradlin (Kathryn) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Cole Spradlin of Valdosta, Brooke Spradlin of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Tiffany Priest (Chris) of Fort Valley, Bobby Joe Landers of Warner Robins, Brandon Colwell (Serena) of Fort Valley, Wesley Colwell (Kelsie Greene) of Kathleen, Chase Hollingsworth (Kristy) of Warner Robins, and Ty Hollingsworth of Hawkinsville; step-grandchildren, Ashley Mason of Missouri, Julia Willhite (Dorian) of Rydal, Daniel DePuy of McDonough, and Melissa Defore; great-grandchildren, Jayda Landers, Hunter Landers, Avery Colwell, Josie Priest, Isabella Willhite, Ellie Colwell, Ethan Priest, Kathryne Defore, Emery Mason, Octavia Hinton, Jaxon Mason, and Khale Hinton; and great-great-grandson, Grayson Landers.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church. Afterward, Rebecca will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
