Rev. G. C. Gilliard

Reverend G. C. Gilliard passed away on Monday, October 13, 2003 at the Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 15 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at 2:30 in Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery in Waycross. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home and also from 2:00 until 2:30 at the cemetery in Waycross.

Rev. Gilliard was born in Ware County, GA. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the United States Army. He was a retired minister and a member of Wesleyan Church. His parents, Alfred and Ida Gilliard, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Velma B. Gilliard, Bonaire; daughter, Dorothy Ammons, Bonaire; sisters, Pinkie Lee, Waycross; Elven Fowler, Shannon, GA; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
