Richard Henry Hanselman

October 6, 1947 — February 2, 2017

Sixty-nine year old, Rick Hanselman went to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 2, 2017.

Rick was born on October 6, 1947 in Macon, Georgia and grew up in Warner Robins. He was a member of Warner Robins High School's Class of 1967, and then continued his education at South Georgia Technical College where he received a degree in Automotive Repair. Following college, Rick joined the National Guard and began his career at Sears Automotive Center. He worked for 35 years at the Sears Automotive Center in Centerville from which he retired as manager. During this time, Rick also worked for 17 years with the Republican Party in Warner Robins where he served as Delegate for several state conventions and on the state rules committee. After his retirement from Sears, Rick worked for 7 years at Advance Auto Parts.

Rick was an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church for 30 years where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. In recent years, he attended Harvest Church in Warner Robins. Rick enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves Fan. He also enjoyed working in his yard, however his greatest joy was found in his beloved family whom he adored.

His parents, William Hanselman, Sr. and Anita Hanselman, and sister, Carol Orr, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Dominy Hanselman of Byron; children, Jennifer Shell (Tim) of Warner Robins; Regina Jenkins (Chris) of Lizella; Daniel Hanselman (Deanna) of Bonaire; Kristina Floyd of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Austin Shell, Amanda Shell, Brittney Baughcum, Joshua Shell, Caitlin Clinard, Kayla Jenkins, Luke Jenkins, Bailey Hanselman, Carter Hanselman, Madison, Haylee, Kane Ferrell, Penelope, Zoey, Aria Floyd; 4 great-grandchildren; and siblings; William John Hanselman, Jr. (Cyndi) of Byron; David Hanselman of Naples, Florida; and Lyssa May (Mike) of Warner Robins.

Visitation with Rick's family will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Rick will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
