Richard Hoyt "Rick" Mace

Rick Mace, loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. He was 63.

Rick was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 11, 1954. A veteran of the Army National Guard, he worked at Robins Air Force Base for many years as an aircraft mechanic before retiring. Rick was a devout Christian who faithfully served the Lord. He was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church where he enjoyed serving as Deacon and as the Sunday School Director. He loved lighthouses and trains, and in his free time, loved traveling; he fulfilled his bucket list of visiting all 50 states. Rick also enjoyed white water rafting and made at least one trip every year for over 20 years in a row.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Mace.

Rick’s memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of 43 years, Cindy Mace; sons, Brian and Cliff Mace; grandsons, Dylan, Sam, and Brett Mace; mother and stepfather, Joan and Roy Sane; father-in-law, Charles Fitzgerald; brothers, Robert (Sharon) and Russell (Bernadette); sisters-in-law, Kathy Mosely (Carl), Annie Allen, Sarah Linderman (David), and Nancy Harper (David); nieces, Anna Harper and Kelly Ferguson (Joey); and nephews, Nathan Mace, Jeff Mace (Krystal), Stephen Mace (Tiffany), Chris Mosely (Kristy), Jason Allen (Heather), Allen Smith, David Smith (Heather), and Michael Mace.

Visitation will be Friday, August 4th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5th at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Don Moncrief officiating. Following the service, Rick will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
