Richard Anthony Johnson

February 5, 1960 — January 3, 2026

Warner Robins

In the quiet of the early morning on Saturday, January 3, 2026, Richard Anthony Johnson, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, stepfather, and friend, peacefully passed away at the age of 65. Richard entered the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by the warmth of cherished memories and the love of his family.

Born on February 5, 1960, in Macon, Georgia, Richard was the son of the late Callis Lindy and Annette Warnock Johnson. Throughout his life, he exemplified the values of hard work and humility, working as the District Manager for JET Food Stores, Inc. for over 30 years. Richard was admired by his colleagues, not only for his dedication but for his ability to uplift and support those around him. He had a natural gift for connecting with others and a personality that could fill any room with warmth and laughter.

Though Richard appreciated his quiet moments, he also thrived on sharing time with loved ones. His family, especially his grandchildren, brought him immense joy. There was nothing he loved more than being surrounded by the laughter of his grandchildren—Dalton, Olivia, Briggs, Kylee, and Ava—who were his pride and joy. His child-like, fun, and silly demeanor with his grandchildren brought out the big kid in him, making every moment together full of laughter and joy. He was a constant presence in their lives, always there with a gentle word or a thoughtful gesture.

Richard was a man of simple pleasures: the sound of the water on a quiet fishing trip, the satisfaction of a well-played round of golf, and the unconditional love he shared with his pets. He loved animals deeply, always seeking comfort in their company. His faith, which he embraced with unwavering devotion, grounded him, and he lived each day with kindness, giving, and forgiveness.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Jennifer Johnson of Bonaire; stepchildren, Timothy Williams of Milledgeville, Heather Williams of Warner Robins, and Brooke Castillo (Landon) of Milledgeville; ex-wife and beloved friend, Michelle Johnson of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Dalton Wallace, Olivia Collins, Briggs Castillo, Kylee Williams, and Ava Williams; sister, Carol Campbell (Michael) of Niceville, FL; nephews, Matthew and Nathan Campbell, both of Niceville, FL; and niece, Michaela Arnold of Chattanooga, TN.

A visitation will be held for family and friends at McCullough Funeral Home on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of Richard's life at 2:30 p.m. His final resting place will be in the peaceful surroundings of Magnolia Park Cemetery, where his memory will continue to be honored by all who knew him.
