Richard “Rick” Lee Nagy, Jr., passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the age of 46.

Rick was born on June 22, 1980, in Monterey Park, California. A proud veteran, he devoted 12 years of his life to serving his country in the United States Army. His commitment to his fellow veterans continued long after his military service ended. Rick was an active member of VFW Post 6605, where he served as Post Commander. He generously volunteered his time through the VA, supporting veterans and giving back to his community.

Rick enjoyed staying active and was passionate about CrossFit. He appreciated the strength, discipline, and camaraderie it provided and embraced the challenge of continually pushing himself.

Above all, Rick was a devoted father. His children were an incredibly important part of his life, and he loved them deeply. No accomplishment or title meant more to him than being their dad.

Rick is survived by his children, Natalie Bertrand, Michael Nagy, Abel Nagy, and Benjamin Nagy; mother, Nora Carlino; brother, Ryan Nagy; and sisters, Sandy Nealon and Amy Jacobson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 2, 2026, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Rick will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
