Rick Allen Hamilton

Rick Hamilton passed away peacefully on May 19, leaving behind a life marked by kindness, creativity, faith, and devotion to those he loved. He had a heart for helping others and was always willing to lend a hand whenever he saw a need. 

Born in Oregon, Rick traveled the world during his service in the United States Air Force as a radar specialist. His years abroad gave him a deep appreciation for history, culture, and tradition, and he especially grew fond of England, where he spent part of his life. Of proud Scottish ancestry, he cherished the heritage and traditions of his family roots and developed a lifelong love for the beauty and mystery of the sea.

Rick was gifted with his hands and could repair or build almost anything. Whether working on a project, fixing something for a friend, or creating beautiful artwork, he approached each task with patience, skill, and care. His creativity and craftsmanship reflected the thoughtful and capable man he was. 

Above all, Rick dearly loved his wife, Deanna Griffin, and his family. His love was steady, faithful, and quietly shown through the care and support he gave each day. 

Rick lived his life guided by his Christian faith. He believed in kindness, compassion, and serving others, and those values could be seen in the way he treated everyone he met. 

Rick leaves behind his loving wife, Deanna Griffin; two children; and six grandchildren, along with many family members and friends who will cherish his memory always. 

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, generous heart, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. His memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

The family of Rick will hold a memorial gathering on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service in honor of Rick’s life at 2:00 p.m. in the McCullough Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will accept flowers in memory of Rick Hamilton.
