Warner Robins

Robert E. “Bobby” Calhoun, 88, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Born June 1, 1937, in Byron, Bobby was the son of the late Walter and Mary Elise Moody Calhoun. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later continued his service as a civilian at Robins Air Force Base, where he worked until his retirement.

Bobby loved being outdoors, especially when it came to gardening, fishing, camping, or grilling. He was a true Georgia sports fan and faithfully cheered on the Georgia Bulldawgs, Mercer Basketball, and the Atlanta Braves.

Though quiet by nature and never seeking the spotlight, he was always there when it mattered most. Bobby was deeply devoted to his family, especially to his daughter. He cherished every moment spent with his family. Bobby’s kind heart, gentle spirit, and generous nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Robert Anthony “Andy” Calhoun.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Sara Carroll Calhoun of Warner Robins; daughter, Leigh Ann Albritton (Kurt) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Elizabeth Albritton Josey (Scott) of Kathleen; and siblings, Wayne Calhoun (Nancy) and Betty Jean Stokes (George), all of Forsyth.

At the family’s request, all services held will be private.
