Robert Kenneth Knowles, a lifelong learner, artist, and devoted family man, passed away leaving behind a legacy of creativity, faith, and love.

Born on January 13, 1953, in Albany, Georgia, Robert was the son of the Mary Snellgrove Knowles and the late Robert Kennley Knowles. From an early age, he developed a deep appreciation for the arts and the world around him—an appreciation that would shape the course of his life.

Robert had a gifted and imaginative spirit. He loved to paint, sculpt, and draw, finding joy in bringing his visions to life through his hands. His creativity extended beyond visual art into writing, where he expressed his thoughts and reflections with care and curiosity. He was an avid reader who found great fulfillment in learning new things, always seeking to expand his understanding of the world.

Nature held a special place in Robert’s heart. He found peace and inspiration in its beauty, often reflecting the wonder of the natural world in both his art and his outlook on life. He also had a deep love for music and movies, enjoying the stories and emotions they brought into his life.

Above all, Robert cherished his family. His love for them was constant and unwavering, and he found his greatest joy in their presence.

Robert was a man of faith who believed in the Lord and held close the hope that one day he would have a place in heaven. That faith brought him comfort and guided him throughout his life.

He will be remembered for his creative spirit, his thoughtful mind, and the love he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Stephanie Kifer (Jeremy) and Robert Knowles; mother, Mary Knowles; grandchildren, Christine Kifer, Alexandra Kifer, and Gabriel Whatley; and siblings, Barbara Mynatt, Tommy Knowles and Sherry Andrew.

At the request of the family, all services will be private.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
