Robert M. "Bob" Stewart

Bob Stewart, 74, went to be with the Lord on the afternoon of Saturday, September 17, 2016.

Bob was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert, Sr. and Lelia Barnes Stewart on July 31, 1942. A proud seven-year veteran of the United States Marines Corps Reserves, he spent his career as a produce manager and later worked for the Houston County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Stewart loved golf, playing poker, and shooting pool. He attended First Christian Church of Perry.

In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Stewart.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of 41 years, Virginia Stewart; children, Doug Stewart, Wayne Stewart, John Stewart (Sandi), Terri Campbell, and Tonya Hipps (Brian); seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24th at First Christian Church of Perry with visitation one hour prior to the service. At the family's request, the burial will be private.
