Robert T. Hammond

Robert T. Hammond, 83, entered into rest on Friday, August 30, 2013.

Robert was born on September 29, 1929 in Ocilla, Georgia to the late William Roy and Ella Smith Hammond. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Robert was a farmer, loved horses, but more than anything, he enjoyed and loved children and his family.

Beloved Uncle Robert T. Hammond resided with Jimmy, Stacy, Kelsie, Halee, Taylor and Landon Shehee. Other survivors include: sister, Bernice Christine Hammond Williams; Linda and Ronnie Atkins, Tammy Knowland and Taylor Beckworth, Jimmy Atkins, Misty Gordon, Rusty Hurzik and Rani Roberts, Billy, Medra and Rebecca Williams, Tina Brake, Buddy Long, Melissa O'Malley, Sonny Wood and family, Robin Henry and family, the children of Donald Hammond; and Monty and Judy Beverly.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Avondale Baptist Church Cemetery in Macon. Memorial donations may be given to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
