Roger F. Debona, Sr.

Roger F. DeBona, Sr., 80, entered into rest on Thursday, July 12, 2012.

Roger was born on May 2, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York. With pride and honor, he served his country for four years in the United States Navy, and later retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base after twenty-seven years. A devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roger was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the casinos. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His parents, James Arthur DeBona, Sr. and Evelyn Plouffe DeBona; and siblings, James A. DeBona, Jr., Gary DeBona, and Jeanne D. Harris, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Earlene Hardy DeBona, Warner Robins; children, Christy D. Dunnam, Warner Robins, Roger F. DeBona, Jr. (Donna), Kathleen, Donald L. DeBona (Denise), Dallas, Texas, and Michael D. DeBona, Warner Robins; three grandchildren, Aimee Curtis (Paul), Lauren Dunaway (Trey), and Justin Dunnam; stepgranddaughter, Brandi Simmons (Richard); six great-grandchildren; and brother, Edward J. DeBona, Florida.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
