Roman Starozytnyk

May 2, 1954 — October 18, 2023

Bonaire

Roman Starozytnyk passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Atrium Health Navicent. He was 69 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and raised in North Brunswick, New Jersey, Roman was the son of Stephanie Starozytnyk and the late Roman Starozytnyk. Roman attended high school in Metuchen, New Jersey, at Saint Joseph’s High School, where he honed his skills on the soccer field and later graduated. He studied at Mount Saint Mary College in Maryland before returning home to serve in his family's restaurant, the Roman Inn. Roman went on to work in the banking industry for several years, lastly serving as a check processing professional for Deutsche Bank. Unfortunately, an injury cut short his career in banking, but it couldn't diminish his spirit.

In 2006, Roman's life took a beautiful turn when he met Lori Anne Brown, who would become his loving wife. They exchanged their vows in 2009, embarking on a new adventure as life partners. Roman had a passion for the open road, often seen riding motorcycles. He also had a soft spot for animals.

In addition to his father, Roman was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Christine Starozytnyk.

In addition to his wife and mother, Roman is survived by his stepson, Andrew Brown (Chelsea) of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Rivers and Abigail Brown; as well as brothers, Alex and Walther (Nanette) Starozytnyk.

At the family’s request, all services held will be private.
