Ronald Terrence "Ron" Elston

Ron Elston, 84, passed away at home on Sunday, December 2, 2018.

Ron was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on March 29, 1934 to the late Frank E. and Sarah Ann Sphinx Elston. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired from Robins Air Force Base with 36 years of Civil Service. Ron was an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed playing saxophone. Livingstone Baptist Church in Fort Valley was his church home.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 61 years, Ann Elston of Warner Robins; daughters, Beatrice Ann Cooley of Warner Robins, Vivian Joycene Castillo (Phillip) of Burnet, Texas, and Christina Linn Sapp (Fred Thomas) of Byron; grandchildren, Kristin Hayes, Tiffany Lindsay, Dianna Levine, Mathew Sapp, Sarah Sapp, and Jennifer Strickland; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor David Idigpio and Rev. Kevin Sapp officiating. Ron will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Mr. Ron Elston to The Hope Lodge, 1552 Shoup Ct., Decatur, GA 30033.
