Ronnie Lee Smith

Ronnie Smith, 72, passed away on the morning of Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Ronnie was born on June 24, 1945 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Lee and Hazel Daniels Smith. A proud United States Air Force Veteran, he was a successful insurance agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company for 30 years. Ronnie also worked for the Houston County Board of Education as a bus driver for the past 10 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie and Gary Smith.

Ronnie’s memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara Smith; daughter, Angela Evans (Doug); sons, Brian Smith (Amy) and Brandon Smith (Tiffany); grandchildren, Irelynd and Erikson Evans, and Audrey, Joshua, Elizabeth, Justin and Isabella Smith; sisters, Betty Ann Fountain (Stewart), Kathy Bonham, Paulette Blankenship (David) and Shelia Hughey; aunt, Nita Hall; and beloved dog, “Lucy.”

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Daron Gray officiating. Afterwards, Ronnie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Smith’s arrangements.
