Early on the morning of Saturday, June 1, 2024, Ruben Reynolds, 91, joined his Lord and Savior in heaven.

Ruben was born on January 10, 1933, in Lyons, Georgia to the late Clarence and Ella Holland Reynolds. Following his graduation at Toombs County high school, Ruben enlisted in the United States Air Force where he worked as a load master and military police. Ruben flew missions all over the world prior to his retirement as a Master Sargent. While serving in Vienna, Austria he met his beloved wife Gertrude “Trudy” Zillinger Reynolds. They spent sixty-five wonderful years together prior to her passing in 2019. Following his military retirement, Ruben sold insurance and went to technical school prior to working in Electronics at Robins Air Force Base. After his second retirement, Ruben spent more time doing the hobbies he loved such as golf and fishing. He enjoyed water skiing in his younger days. Ruben was always known as a hard worker and a quiet man. He never spoke poorly of anyone. His presence and quiet nature will be missed by everyone that knew him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Trudy Reynolds and brothers, Edward T. Reynolds, Jack Reynolds, David C. Reynolds and James L. Reynolds.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Pat Gunnin (Corey) of Byron and Clarence “Jerry” Reynolds (Donna) of Bolingbroke; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and sister, Josephine Reynolds Whitfield of Toombs, County.
