Ruby J. Tompkins

Ruby Tompkins, 88, died Wednesday, October 10 at Church Home for the Aged in Perry. Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 13 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, from 7:00 until 9:00pm at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 1116 Alderly Lane, Warner Robins.
Born in Telfairville, GA, Mrs. Tompkins was a Charter Member of Southside Baptist Church where she once was active in various activities of the church. She was predeceased by her husband, Ira Tompkins; parents, Walker Freeman Godbee and Ada Skinner Godbee; son, Julian Tompkins; brother, Theodore Godbee; and a sister, Clifford Odette Godbee Daniels.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie R. Russell; and son, Leon Tompkins, both of Warner Robins; a brother Angus P. Godbee, Augusta; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
