Ruby Edna Lalicker left us on Friday, May 22, 2026, to be with God and rejoin the love of her life—Harold.

Ms. Lalicker was born in Phoenix, AZ, the second of six children to the late Hazel E. Poage. The family settled in Fresno, CA where Ruby completed high school and went on to work as a nurse’s aide for several years. In 1959, Ms. Lalicker met the love of her life, Harold R. Lalicker Sr., and they were married on December 25, 1959. They were inseparable for 50 years until Harold passed away on January 19, 2010. Ms. Lalicker grieved the loss of her soulmate but moved forward by helping young people through their own catastrophic losses with the local hospice program. Always leaning forward, she participated in local senior activities and contributed where she could, given her own physical challenges. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. A proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ms. Lalicker constantly cheered for her family from the sidelines. In addition to her husband and mother, Ms. Lalicker was preceded in death by her father, Roy J. Myers; her son, Harold R. “Ray” Lalicker Jr.; her son-in-law, Elwin “Corky” Schrader; her brothers, Leroy Myers, Ralph Poage, and Walter Poage; her brother-in-law, Dennis Shephard; and her grandson, Joshua A. Davis.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Richard Myers (Lisa) of Colorado Springs, CO; her daughter, Patarica Schrader of Warner Robins, GA; her brother, Ernie Poage (Barbara) of Yuba City, CA; her sister, Carole Shephard of Escondido, CA; her grandchildren, Kathy Falk, Sherri Greenberg, Austin Tahsequah, Jason Davis Sr.; thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Alice Penny Poage; as well as special family friends, Joanne Johnson and Lawrence Davis. May she rest in peace in God’s embrace.

The memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. Following the service, Ms. Lalicker will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
