Rudy Arocha, 73, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Rudy was born on November 12, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Climaco and Frances Arocha.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years before beginning a long and dedicated career in civil service at Kelly Air Force Base in Texas and Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. After 29 years of service, Rudy retired as a sheet metal mechanic, a role he took great pride in.

Rudy loved classic cars. He found joy in working on muscle cars and owning his beloved 1968 Camero.

Above all else, he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, relaxing with a cold beer and scratching a fresh jumbo buck lottery ticket. He will be remembered for his hard work, loyalty, and the love he shared with those closest to him.

Rudy’s memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Catherine Lee Arocha, children, Rudy Flores Arocha, Jr. (Maggie) and April Catherine Barrett (Travis), siblings, Joann Vasquez (Tim), Blanca Lawton (Larry), Jim Arocha (Linda), Lewis Arocha (Alma) and Morgan Arocha, brother-in-laws, Thomas Morris (Sue) and David Morris (Marie), along with many other family and friends.

Rudy is preceded in death by his parents Climaco and Frances Arocha, son, Brian Lee Arocha, siblings, Climaco Arocha, Jr. and Sylvia Arocha, Father and Mother-in-law, George and Vivian Morris, brother-in-law, Joseph Morris.

A graveside service will be held at 2:15 p.m. CT on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas . Afterward, Rudy will be laid to rest in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
