Ruth L. Davis

Ruth L. Davis, 88, wife of the late Edward R. Davis, Sr. passed away on Monday, March 21, 2005 at The Oaks Nursing Home. Services will be private. The family suggests donations be made to Oaks Nursing Home on Nursing Home Road Marshallville, Ga. 31057.

Mrs. Davis was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Morningside Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She also worked with the youth ministry for many years. She worked for Sears for many years as a sales representative, but she primarily worked in customer service. Her father, Roy and Ruth Ann Welshlands; preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Edward R. Davis, Jr., New Jersey; Bruce Davis (Linda), Fort Valley; daughters; Nancy Love (Arthur), North Carolina; Patricia Sampson, North Carolina; ten grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
