Sandra Kay Goddard

Sandra Kay Goddard, 68, resident of Perry, Georgia, was born on November 27, 1957, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Surrounded by her family, she went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 17, 2025.

As a pastor’s wife and leader in the Church of the Nazarene, Sandie’s life mission was to share Jesus with everyone through love, laughter, and compassion. Her encouragement was comforting, her joy was infectious, and her spiritual witness was influential. God called Sandie to serve His church as a listener, supporter, and sharer of the Gospel. She worked as an administrative assistant in the School of Business at Southern Nazarene University (1998-2009), and as an administrative assistant at several Nazarene churches, most recently at First Church of the Nazarene in New Castle, IN (2015-2023). However, her most fulfilling role was being a mother for 38 years and a grandmother for 8 years.

Sandie never sought attention, as she was a quiet strength to her husband and the SNU faculty. However, her actions spoke loudly as she lived a Christ-filled life each and every day. Everyone who knew Sandie saw Jesus’ love in her life. While serving at SNU, the School of Business presented her with “The Good Shepherd” Award, recognizing her 10 years of exceptional service to the school, faculty/staff, and students.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. and Lovie J. Waldrep.

She is survived by her husband Danny E. Goddard of 46 years of marriage; her only child, Thomas P. Goddard; daughter-in-law, Micha J. Goddard; two grandchildren, Lyric A. and Rhett T. Goddard, who were her pride and joy.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on December 20, 2025, at Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. A committal service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM.

The family wishes to thank all the friends and family who visited Sandie over the past few months; people who reached out to her to offer prayer, support, and encouragement; and the medical professionals from Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center, Atrium Health Navicent Rehabilitation Hospital, and Atrium Health Navicent Hospice Pine Pointe.
