Sarah C. Stuart

Sarah Mae Cheek Stuart, 89, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2004 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at Glen Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 26, 2004 from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stuart was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia on December 14, 1915. She was a longtime member of Avondale Baptist Church and recently attended Wimbish Road Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a homemaker who loved her family very much and a dedicated foster parent for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Mae Cheek; father, Robert Spears Cheek; and husband, John Frank Stuart.

Survivors include her daughter, Margaret S. Henderson, Warner Robins, GA; Sandra S. Williams, Warner Robins, GA; son, James S. Stuart (Teresa), Dacula, GA; sister, Frances C. Thompson, Hawkinsville, GA; half brother, Meredith Cheek (Polly), Hawkinsville, GA; half brother, Franklin Cheek (Patricia), Hawkinsville, GA; half sister, Virginia C. Buchan (Ted), Warner Robins, GA; Ora Lee Slade (Lonnie), Hawkinsville, GA; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and devoted companion, James Perry Blalock, of Macon, GA.
