Sarah Rainey Riley

Sarah Lorine Rainey Riley, "Big Mama," age 90, passed away November 12, 2010 following a sudden illness.

Mrs. Riley was born on January 22, 1920 to the late William Benjamin Rainey and Sarah Bobbitt Rainey of Macon. A Macon native, she was employed by Bibb Manufacturing in Payne City. She was loved and adored by her many friends and family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Samuel Austin Riley, and her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Nancy Riley of Macon and Bennie and Susan Riley of Lizella; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 5024 Northside Drive, Macon, GA 31210 with visitation following the service.
