Scottie Allen Cooper passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He was 55 years old.
Scottie was born in Rome, New York on August 11, 1961. Growing up in a military family, he moved to Warner Robins in 1977 and graduated from Northside High School in 1979. Scottie went on to graduate from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service with a degree in Mortuary Science and started his career with Moore Funeral Home in Milledgeville. There, he humbly served grieving families for a few years before retiring to be his mother's caretaker as she suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Scottie loved his family dearly and will be sadly missed by them, and by all who knew him.
His mother, Jewell Wynell Cooper; and his sister, Tina Cooper, preceded him in death.
Scottie's memory will forever be treasured by his loving father, Hubert Cooper of Warner Robins; siblings, Robin Cooper Woodard (Jim) of Gray and Randy Cooper (Christine) of Niceville, Florida; and nephew, Brent Woodard of Gray.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 in Magnolia Park Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
