Sgm. Roger L. Case, U.S. Army (Ret.)

September 11, 1938 — January 30, 2019

Roger Case, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

On September 11, 1938, Roger was born to the late Virgil Forest Case and Kathryn Elizabeth Staight Case in Pemberton, Ohio. Roger proudly enlisted into the United States Army and honorably served his country for 20 years. He retired with the prestigious rank of Sergeant Major. Roger continued to support the United States of America at The Corps of Engineers in Garrison, North Dakota working in Civil Service as a Heavy Mobil Equipment Mechanic until his second retirement. In his retirement, Roger enjoyed being an honorary member of the Sheriff’s Association and a valuable part of Home for the Kids and Knights of Columbus. He was a devoted Catholic and attended the Base Chapel. Roger’s favorite pastimes included bowling and fishing. Most of all, Roger loved spending time with his family whom he loved dearly especially his grandchildren.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 60 years, Consolacion E. Case of Warner Robins, Georgia; Ronald L. Case (Sheri) of Brunswick, Georgia, Richard D. Case (Jennifer) of Holland, Michigan, Virgil F. Case of Bismark, North Dakota, and Katherine R. Oram (Duane) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Michele Perez of Clearwater, Florida, 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Carl Case (Dorothy), Karen Case, Cheryl Haskell (Robert), Marcia Burkhammer (Roger), and Virgil Case (Debora).

A Rosary will be said on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass for Mr. Case will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Afterwards Mr. Case will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery with full Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Roger L. Case to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund at 300 South Davis Drive, Building 300, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
