Sheila Devora Dale

Sheila Devora Glisson Dale, a cherished native of Middle Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the age of 61. Born on December 21, 1962, in Warner Robins, Sheila was the beloved daughter of the late Tearl and Ouida Malone Glisson.

As a defense logistics agent, Sheila served on Robins Air Force Base for 27 years until her retirement.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Sheila found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She possessed a keen eye for hidden treasures, often scouring yard sales for unique finds. Additionally, her artistic talents captivated those around her with her creations.

She was a remarkable woman and woman of valor. Sheila’s favorite Bible verse was Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Sheila’s faith led her to attend the International City Church of God. She was known for her infectious laughter and generous spirit, and exemplified warmth and kindness to all who crossed her path. Sheila also held her family dear to her heart.

She was a loving mother to her children, Devora Glisson and Summer Borden (Matthew), and a cherished grandmother to Karma Tripp, Kolt Tripp, Allie Rostron, Paisley Sluddard, Scarlett Bryant, and Nolan Cade Borden. Also, left to cherish her memory is Sheila’s brother, Timothy Glisson, as well as a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.   A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.  Afterward, Sheila Devora Dale will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
