Sheila was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late William Frances Berrell and Sarah Francis Blackburn. Her family moved to Atlanta, Ga. in 1950. She attended and graduated from Bass High School in Atlanta. She married Edwin Jones Reid Jr. in June of 1964.

Sheila was a devoted wife and mother. She was of the Catholic faith and loved to say the rosary every day. She was very talented with all kinds of crafts and painting. She was a very loving, caring, wise, honest, and inspirational spirit that will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Jones Reid Jr.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her children, Kevin A. Reid and Laurie R. Ellard; her five grandchildren, Jamie Reid, Rebecca Reid, Kaitlyn Moore, Sarah Bray, and Erin Moore; and her brother, Larry Berrell; as well as extended friends and family.
