Shelton Lee Mavity

On the morning of Friday, November 3, 2023, Shelton Lee Mavity,75, entered into eternal rest.

Shelton was born on December 10, 1947, to the late Robert Lee and Evelynn Bisplinghoff Nelson in Chattanooga, Tennessee. With great pride, he served his country in the United States Army prior to working at Northrop Grumman as an Electronic Defense Programmer from where he retired.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife, Doris Huie Mavity; children, Robert Mavity (Kathy), and Paul Mavity; grandchildren, Riana Mavity, Chase Mavity, Michelle Freeman, Anna Freeman, Jessie Fish and Jamie Willis; and sister, Jane McGraw.

The memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Northside Baptist Church at 1013 Carl Vinson Parkway, Centerville, Georgia.
