Sherry Kempson Curtis

In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 29, 2018, Sherry Curtis, 61, passed away at home.

Sherry was born on May 6, 1956 in Griffin, Georgia to the late Owen and LaVerne Watts Kempson. She was a loving homemaker, whose family was always her highest priority. She will be greatly missed however, her family is thankful she is not sick anymore.

Her husband, James Curtis, and brother, Edward Kempson, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Shannon Kempson, Daniel Curtis, Crystal Curtis; grandchildren, Salem Kempson, Noah Kempson, Mykaila Curtis, Layla Bruce, Zachary Bruce, Jr., siblings, Dianne Hollingsworth, Janie Godfrey, and aunts and uncles, Shirley W. Peavy, Ronnie Watts, Joel Watts, Ira “Bo” Henry Watts, Dena Mae Lunsford, and Clara Watts.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Sherry’s life will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018 at McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefitting Sherry Kempson Curtis. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with “Sherry Curtis Memorial Fund’ written in the memo line.
