Shirley G. Waites

Shirley G. Waites, 69, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.

Shirley was born on February 21, 1943 in Eastman, Georgia and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a wonderful homemaker, and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Shirley enjoyed cooking, reading, and crossword puzzles, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family. Her daughter, Tonya Jackson; parents, Lone Gilliam and June Harper Scott; and brother, David Gilliam, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted children, Allen McGullion (Lynn), William McGullion, Sonya Jackson (Larry), and Bruce Waites (Virginia); siblings, Lonnie Gilliam, Lula Hardy, and Betty Miller; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Park Cemetery with a graveside service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
