It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Shirley Mae Ann Powell. A cancer survivor, she took her last breath on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the age of 66.
Born in Mobile, AL on January 11, 1956, Shirley was the daughter of the late Paul Powell and Ella Holiday Powell. She graduated with Warner Robins High School’s Class of ’74 and retired with 38 years as a home health nurse with Navicent. This career fit Shirley’s life and personality to a ‘t’ as she naturally put others before herself; her generous heart allowed her to take earnest care of the elderly and disabled. She was a proud grandmother who loved each of her grandchildren. When Shirley wasn’t working or spending time with family, you could find her playing word and online games, cards and Scrabble, or collecting salt and pepper shakers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Howard Martin Hall of Warner Robins; children, Paula Mossman Hawes (Travis) of Macon, and Guy Randolph Mossman, Jr. (Amanda), Justin Mossman and Sylvia Mossman, all of Warner Robins; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with one on the way; 14 siblings; and best friend, Dianne Williams.
Visitation with Shirley’s family will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A private funeral service only for her family will follow in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
